Famous Chinese Hot Pot in Hong Kong
© Bartłomiej Magierowski
So far, I have eaten Chinese hot-pots (or hot pot in our language) in a group, with friends, family, friends or business partners. There was usually one large dish, sometimes divided in half, for mild and spicy soup with lots of red peppers. Now there are more and more lonely people in large Chinese cities such as Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Guangzhou. There are also many friends who have different culinary preferences. That's why individual pots appeared. Everyone chooses their own spices, their own sauce, their favorite meat, tofu, mushrooms, lettuces, even sausages. All this can be cooked in your own soup. If I'm not mistaken, there were about eight soups to choose from. The photo shows a table in a restaurant in the Holywood Plaza shopping center in Hong Kong.
