An ordinary street in Shanghai

Tourists who have been in Shanghai for a few days are certainly delighted with this city. The same goes for businessmen who can usually spend one evening by the beautiful bay. But few people are as insightful and have time for such walks as I do. I always like to delve into ordinary areas of cities and towns, where everyday life goes on, away from tourists. And this is what typical tenement houses in Shanghai look like. They are slowly being eliminated, but in my opinion they have some ugly charm of their own.
