Life and Travel in China

DID YOU KNOW THAT China will be the first country in the world to give up traditional airline tickets. Electronic tickets will be introduced on all lines by the end of this year. Of course, they will save paper and money, but maybe it will cause more chaos and some passengers will not know what to do without a ticket in their hands?!

The housing situation in China is quite complicated at the moment. Well, in wealthier provinces, housing prices have increased by 200%-500% over the last 5 years. The middle class cannot afford apartments now, some people have been saving money for several years, and rising prices are constantly making the chances of purchasing their own property more distant (the solution is high-interest loans). Many people rent apartments, but rental costs are also getting higher. However, rich people buy two, three, even five apartments and treat it as an investment. Many of these apartments are not even intended for rent. Real estate offices have already replaced tool, grocery and clothing stores. Even in small towns, there are 2-4 real estate brokerage offices at each intersection. However, I am afraid that one day this housing boom will end, because rationally speaking, the number of apartments increases every day, and people do not become millionaires overnight (unless in the movies).

Shenzhen Airlines is introducing Internet and mobile phone coverage on its planes during flights. Sometimes I can't stand it on the bus when someone is shouting on their cell phone the whole way. Now imagine such a situation on an airplane. Not that I want to sleep, but at least rest for a while, read something... Now it won't be that easy. They can really shout at each other on the phone, the time of the conversation is never important. I haven't checked what it looks like yet, but the information was provided by local television.

What has happened... the French are persecuting me in China. In a restaurant two weeks ago, a Frenchman and a Chinese woman, yesterday in a typical Chinese restaurant (mainly people from Hong Kong, practically no foreigners every day) there was a French couple. Some time ago I also met a Pole from France. My Chinese friend (also a model, there are photos of her on this website) took a French course. I also met a French cyclist via the Internet. Not to mention the Chinese women I know who have some French descriptions in their instant messengers. French expansion into China had apparently begun.

Today, in an English-language bookstore, a young Chinese man asks me in English, of course, if I am interested in rugby, because there is a nice book there. Then he asks me where I come from? When I replied that I was from Poland. After thinking for a moment, he said, "Good morning." He even went a step further - "My name is Tadeusz." It turned out that a year ago he met some Polish models in Shenzhen and one of them turned his head. He went crazy enough to buy a VCD and learn Polish. Unfortunately, the girls left... but every bad thing doesn't come to good. Polish can still be useful sometimes!
